USV
Meet the next generation XOCEAN Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV), the XO-580. This new aluminium design joins their existing fleet of XO-450’s delivering faster, deeper and longer ‘over the horizon’ surveys.
Like all XOCEAN USVs, this platform offers a safe, economic and carbon neutral solution to collecting ocean data. In partnership with XOCEAN CANADA and Canada’s Ocean Supercluster, ABCO performed design, fabrication and commissioning and testing of this exciting new product.
ABCO’s 75 years of boat building experience were critical in the development of this new prototype USV with a fully welded aluminium hull, twin generators and more sensor capacity than the previous model.
